Heroes may craft raw ingredients (such as gems, ale, and parchment) into useful magical gear like magical potions and scrolls. The six resulting pieces of gear may be found already crafted in the treasure deck, crafted from components at the end of encounters, or any single craftable scroll or potion may be summoned by Vari in exchange for a bag of gold.

Players may freely trade treasure and artifacts at the end of encounters, including gold and crafting components such as parchment, ale, and gemstones.

If you craft an item, discard the components to the treasure discard pile and take a crafted item from the bank of item cards to your hand.
